What would ya say, ya do here?

i wake up at 6 am. then i push the snooze button on my nokia cellular phone/alarm clock. then i wake up at 6:05, then push the snooze button. this repeats until around 6:20 or so. then i listen to a little music. then i get out of bed, and take a shower. it's luke warm, almost hot if i make it run slowly (there aren't generally water heaters, just these shower heads that heat the water, and if the water runs slower, it can get hotter. it's a vicious battle between heat and pressure where neither really wins). then i shave, get dressed, make my bed, tidy up the room a little bit (not too much), and leave for breakfast around 7. i eat the breakfast, usually some combination of eggs in some form, beans in some form, juice, tortillas, some very sugared coffee (not my choice, this is how it's made), and an oatmeal type thing. i indulge myself in all of this. then i walk back to my room, brush my teeth, put on some sunscreen, gather my things (water, a hat, something to write with, blah blah blah) and head to the office of where i work. get to the office, change my card in the thing from red to green (this means that the doctor is in). shake a bunch of hands and say buenos dias, como esta about a million times (the greetings are incredibly important). then, i figure out with whom i will be going with today. we work in a bunch of communities outside of the one the office is centered in. so, then i talk to that person, and say something like, "i'm going with you today, let me know when you want to leave". then i go and sit down for a little bit, maybe talk to some people, maybe write some stuff down, maybe study some spanish. then, when told it's time to go, i do that. then, i change my card to yellow (the doctor is not here, but he is still working, just not here). so, either i'm in the cab of a pick-up, or in the box of a pick-up, driving out to a community. then i help whoever it is do whatever he's doing, or stand there and pretend rather convincingly that i understand most of what's being said, when in fact, it's about at 50%. today, i got to shovel, this is something i am rather good at, some of you might be jealous right meow. we were hauling some sand and dirt for a construction project. one day, i helped graft avocado trees for about 7 hours. one day, i helped deliver a bunch of chickens. lunch is usually around 1 or 2, it's quite delicious. today we had liver (not too bad with some sauce on top), some pureed (sp?) potatoes, some salad, juice, and tortillas. then, go back to work. today there was none, which has afforded me the time to write this long entry. then, i get back, usually around 6 pm, switch my card to red as i leave the office (the doctor is now went home to his room, i would think the doctor would have a more posh place for his residence). then, i go sit at home for a little bit, not sure what i really do, but there seems to be something. sometimes i talk to the kids where i live, they're pretty funny. one of them who is about 4 or so, really only likes to repeatedly say gringo, to which i respond by saying the equivalent of guatemalan. it's quite a fun interchange. then, i go meet the other volunteer here and we go to dinner/supper, whatever you call it. it's good, consists of beans, tortillas, coffee, bread, and something else. then i go back, read, study, maybe make a phone call. then i go to sleep around 9. i enjoy it. i just need to work in some ice cream somewhere in there.

for the sake of the children out there, bernicus is not referring to the bad word that starts with a B, he is referring to the word that refers to him, which is bragger.
