so i gave a training on chicken diseases today (it's rediculous how much i know about chickens). it's interesting the kind of possible distractions a person can have in the teaching environment.
1st distraction: started to rain, then to hail a little bit. normally, not a big deal, however, when the door is open to let in light because the house doesn't have electricity and the roof is tin, it makes a lot of noise.
2nd distraction: chickens of all sizes entering and exiting the house at will and people trying to get them out
3rd distraction: the dog, entering and exiting the house at will, and people trying to get it out
but we got through it.

Do the dogs ever try to eat the chickens??
There's a kids bookstore, Wild Rumpus, that has cats and chickens running around the store for kids to chase.
One time, a dog got into the store and killed one of the chickens. There's a life lesson that none of those books can teach you, kids.

so some day when i have a farm with chickens, can you teach me how not to kill them? i'm serious.

yes, i will give you all the peace corps tips on how not to kill your chickens. then, we will learn how TO kill yer chickens.
surprisingly the dogs do not try and kill the chickens. weird eh? wild rumpus? cats and chickens present specifically there to be chased by children? that would be a long day.
