i bet it's nice to be waiting for an entry for a month and then hear about a violent encounter with dogs.
so here are my current up-in-the-air-plans...
-sending in my application to the U of M to start a master in ag program in horticulture/sustainable agriculture. a little bit concerned that things will arrive in time from here to be able to start in january, but i'm invoking my "everything always works out" theory.
-hoping to be able to get in a job in the twin cities metro area that doesn't suck and makes me some money. keep your ears to the ground. jake needs some money.
-currently planning to come back in december, will have a lot to do; get a car running again, insurance of various types, move and move in, re-acclimate to america (cold weather, improve my english, no more pointing with lips and other practices that don't quite pass in the U.S.A.) register for some classes (i hope), yada yada yada.
-here's a frustration, scholarships. the program i'm applying to doesn't have much to offer. one (me) would think that after spending three successful years of doing development work, that there would be some money out there. i haven't found it. don't want to sound greedy here and i'm not denying that i "haven't gained a lot" by being down here, probably the best 3 years of my life, however, that doesn't pay the bills. again, invoking the "everything always works out" theory. sorry i complained. it felt good though.

i heard chip-n-dale's was looking for some guys in the twin cities area. they pay well and the work there often leads to other job opportunities. think about it.

you should sell bootleg DVD's out of the trunk of your car to earn money.
Also, I just heard that the NSA is listening in on phone calls from citizens abroad. Try not to say anything too embarrassing on the phone. Maybe speak on espanol to fool them.

Have you talked to any body from school (Brad, Hal, Melissa, Brent...) to see if they know anybody that could hook you up with scholarships?
I feel like when it comes to grad school, it's all about knowing the right people.
It sucks that Peace Corps doesn't help you out with stuff like that - TFA is all over helping people get fellowships and such!
